After passing through a special effluent filter, which retains solid material in the settling chamber, the wastewater is then pumped onto a buried Recirculating Textile Filter (RTF).Then, using packed-bed reactor technology, the RTF ‘polishes’ the effluent by uniformly spraying effluent over the non-woven textile filter. We have engineered this to provide maximum surface area and void space with minimal water retention, ideal for bacterial slimes to grow and attach to. All our Wastewater Systems have RTF.
Intermittent Sand Filter (ISF)
Using natural processes, the ISF ‘polishes’ the effluent using the latest advances in sand grading technology. Wastewater is spread over clean crushed rock or scoria at the top of the buried ISF and then percolates slowly down through graded sand and rock.
Our product range is continuing to expand. Our current modules have capacity for 2000, 4000, 6500 and 8000 litres per day, with customised designs available.
We offer the option of simple analogue timer dosing and float controls, or proprietary microprocessor based controls with telemetry.
This is the process that removes nitrogen from wastewater. This option is available via a microprocessor controlled unit with 70% denitrification level expected.
To bring you peace of mind on the long-term reliability of your system, we offer a Maintenance Agreement and, for a small fee, we’ll carry out a six monthly inspection, which includes checking pumps, flushing out any biological material build-up and providing a report to the owner on any necessary remedial work.
If installed and maintained by us in accordance with our recommendations, we guarantee the ISF will produce quality effluent for at least five years. The two pumps have a warranty of 24 months, and we’ll repair or replace them at no charge in the unlikely event of a pump malfunction, during this period.
